Officer Saves Man from Overdose

On Saturday, May 16th-District Court Officer Mike Iannuzzi discoverd a person exhibiting signs of an overdose. The officer found the subject to be non-responsive with erratic breathing. Officers Andrew Meyer, Bill Green and Kathy Lopez responded to assist Officer Ianuzzi. Lt. Dan Freismen was notified about the medical emergency and responded to the incident location with Narcan. The subject was administered 2 doses of Narcan and ultimately became responsive and alert. Central Islip Ambulance Company responded and the subject was transported to Southside Hospital. The quick actions of these dedicated officers led to the saving of a life.
